About me
Ben Dabiri is an Iranian-American jazz pianist, composer, producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles. Born in Tehran, he began studying classical piano before moving to the United States at age nine. In high school he fell deeply in love with jazz, a passion that led him to earn a degree from the Herb Alpert School of Music at UCLA, where he studied with mentors including Terence Blanchard, Arturo O’Farrill, and Tamir Hendelman.
Since graduating, Ben has become an active force in LA’s jazz and beat scenes, performing regularly and teaching a roster of private students. His playing and production work span genres, appearing on records by artists such as Marinero, Keithian, Sage, and Headbed. Drawing from his Persian heritage, classical foundation, and deep immersion in jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, Ben is dedicated to forging a personal voice that bridges cultural traditions with contemporary improvisation.
